BECOME A VOLUNTEER
"A volunteer is a person who believes that people can make a difference - and is willing to prove it."
Looking for a job with meaning, one that will change your life? Join us in our effort to protect endangered species and threatened natural areas.
CPAWS Saskatchewan is currently campaigning on a number of fronts. By organizing at the grassroots level, we will be able to build public support and stimulate actions that will ensure protection of Canada's treasured wildlife and their important habitat.
Are you interested in:
- Learning about conservation issues?
- Doing something meaningful?
- Meeting people and establishing new friendships?
- Building your Resume and developing job contacts?
- Having fun?
We need your help. If you have an ability to organize and mobilize support from the public, CPAWS campaigns' major strategies are to raise public awareness, fundraiser, and mobilize community support. The tactics we employ are:
- Education: talking to people about our issues and distributing information
- Fundraising: raising money through our outreach program and building membership in the organization
- Grassroots: collecting signatures on postcards, writing letters
- Coalition: building a group of supporting organizations to increase pressure
for change
- Media: organizing news conferences, editorial columns and letters to the editor in influential news papers
We need committed people in the areas of public information, membership communication, office administration, and research projects.
We only have one chance to protect Canada's endangered and threatened species. If you are interested in contributing to a great cause, please contact us at:
